STUDIO ORZI L.L.C  is a multidisciplinary design studio focused on exploring the conceptual and aesthetic possibilities of architecture, through built commissions and research. We are interested in architecture as a cultural practice exploring history, technology, form, and materials. We utilize the latest sustainable practices and technology.Our work ranges from residential design to speculative projects. The office works with a network of expert collaborators including architects, designers, fabricators, and contractors in order to operate around the USA and abroad.


Massimiliano(Max) is the founding member of Studio Orzi L.LC . He grew up in South Africa, Italy and the United States, and is currently living in New York City. He holds a Masters AAD from Columbia University, where he was the recipient of the Lowenfish Memorial Prize for Design Excellence. Prior to Graduate school, he received his Bachelor in Architecture from California Polytechnic Pomona, receiving the Concours d'Elegance award for his thesis project. He remains involved in academia having been a visiting critic at several universities including Columbia University,Princeton, Cal Poly Pomona,University of Pennsylvania,PRATT, UVA, RPI and Parsons.


Max is one of the founders of NY COLLABORATIVE


Before establishing STUDIO ORZI LLC, he had extensive experience in award-winning firms including RUR DPC and DOMAEN, working on projects ranging from individual houses and Interiors to large-scale cultural, educational, commercial, and infrastructural projects. Among these projects are the Kaohsiung Port Terminal Project, the Taipei Pop Music Center and the University of Applied Arts Vienna Competition.
